Williamson County Regional Park - 6/6/2010  [View Log Page]
Rating: 3stars Difficulty: 1star Solitude: 4stars
Distance: 4.00 Miles Duration: N/A

Got out this afternoon and checked out the nature trail and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. As the description says, it is not difficult at all, but it is nice and quiet. I saw more deer (3) than people (1) at about 4pm. Overall, a nice place for a quick getaway that is only a few minutes from home.

Great beginner trail

Took my daughter there today for the first time. Started at the Cedar Breaks trail head and headed in for 2 miles. Interesting variety of terrain from smooth to rocky that kept the hike interesting. Trail is mostly shaded, so even though it was mid 90's, it was not too bad. Make sure to wear good shoes, my daughter was wearing tennis shoes and her feet were hurting by the end of hike because of the rocks.

Rating: 4stars Difficulty: 3stars Solitude: 5stars
Distance: 3.00 Miles Duration: 2 hours

Took my 12 and 10yr old kids and they had a blast. Great hike in the trees with enough terrain variation to keep them interested. Been out here a few times and have never seen more than 2 other groups.

Took the kids on spring break. Of course it was busy, but not too bad. Nice to have water flowing this time. Kids enjoyed getting their feet wet and skipping rocks. My 4yr old didn't like the rocky parts of the trail though, kept stumbling and was on my shoulders on the way back.
