The Nature Conservancy announced the acquisition of 24,000 California coastal acres near Santa Barbara due to the largest donation to the group. Known previously as the Bixby Ranch, it will be called the Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve in honor of the donors who put up $165 million for its purchase.

The Jack and Laura Dangermond Preserve

The article doesn't go into great details on the future plans for the property, as it focuses a bit more on the donation aspect of the story. But this map should provide a hint at the great hiking trails that could be put into place here. Fingers crossed...
