I thought I would create a post where people could post examples of other people doing incredible things in the great outdoors. Hopefully we can all find some inspiration in it.

To start things off, this caught my eye. The circumstances are unfortunate, but @ 34,000 miles he's the #1 logger in my eyes!
Happy Trails!

Interesting story, and the trailer contraption he uses to haul is gear is quite impressive.

Yeah, the carriage is a novel idea, but I don't think it'd work too well off road. Not exactly ultra light, lol, but the guy has to be well into his 70s so he gets my respect.

For you Californians, here's another interesting story. It's about a guy walking all over the state with his 3 mules. Maybe you'll see him somewhere...

Interestingly, I met a French man hiking with 3 mules last summer when I was doing the Tahoe Rim Trail. He was on a 15,000 mile multi-year trek across the Americas (all of them), which was humbling to me just trying to complete the 165 mile TRT, lol. I can't remember his website/blog, but I'll post it here if I can find it.

This story blew me away. If this guy can climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, then we have no excuses!

Ice climbing, anyone?

This one highlights the importance of understanding the inherent risks of what you're doing outdoors and always being prepared, even if you have a lot of experience.

Before you head outdoors, be sure to keep an eye on the weather and know how to read the signs, especially if you're going underwater spelunking.

There is so much to hike here. We almost freeze up just thinking about the place to go to next. It's a wonderful problem to have.

OK, I guess I won't complain about the conditions on any of my hikes from now on!

Talk about primitive camping... Looks like a way to get some solitude, but I think I would have been constantly on the lookout for an approaching rogue wave. Scared
