Comments: This is a great place to take a family. We have 4 kids between 10 and 5 years. Its hard to find a good hike that is easy enough for the young-uns, and interesting enough for the adults. This hike was not trivially easy, but it wasn't a forced march either. The fact that you can see the top the whole way up turns out to be a great motivation to keep going. The views are spectacular. The rock is granite in its natural form. Since we homeschool, it was a great geology lesson for the kids. Its beautiful rock. This is the wrong place to go to get alone though. Its very heavily traveled.
