This trail is fantastic for bikers, hikers, and joggers. The cement/asphalt trail is almost complete between Babcock and Bandera Rds, but there are plenty of clay/caliche alternative trails along the route, There is even an opportunity to scale a cliff along the way.
There are boulders to rest on, plenty of both shade and sunshine. At some spots you feel like you are in the middle of a wilderness with no homes in sight. There are plenty of deer, rabbits, birds and an occasional snake to cheer you along the way. At other times you walk behind subdivisions, apartments and a Wal Mart.
This trail is great for recreational hiking or biking, and also provides people a way to go from their home to businesses without dealing with motor vehicle traffic.
It would be great if there could be some port-a-potties along the route, though.
I love this trail. I live very close to it and can't wait for the trail to extend to the Igo Library and UTSA.
