Great paved trail

We did an out and back starting at Lady Bird Johnson Trailhead and going to Oakwell Trailhead.  We had lots of people on the trail with us.  Bikes and dogs were common.  Saw the Park Police once in a small 4 wheeler.  The trail was very shady.   The caption for the picture should say "blurry".  I can't figure out how to edit it though.

Lots of people and their dogs on the trail

We walked after a period of light rain so the trail was a little slick in spots.  Because the dogs are off leash and their is water you have to contend with fending off friendly dogs that get you wet also.

We did the Fawn Loop and the Buck Lake Trail

We did the Buck Lake Trail first and had shade.  We then did the Fawn Loop and didn't.  We should have reversed our plans and hiked Fawn Loop first.... no shade on it.

Not many people out

It was hot.  The trails were not well marked.  We sorta got lost.  Not real sure of our distance.

Great new boardwalk area.

We did not walk the complete loop.   We walked from the Congress Street Bridge to Pleasant Valley Road.  About a fourth of the distance of that on a boardwalk.
